The country that has a vital interest in stopping the Houthis is Egypt, and they have so far been silent. Until someone stops the Houthis the Suez canal is almost useless.

Yep. That sounds like a very successful blockade. Frankly, I’m stunned that the Houthis have been to accomplish this.

I just checked the real time maritime traffic map, and both the Suez Canal and the Red Sea are still getting plenty of traffic.
