A Russian missile strike appeared to target Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, landing near his motorcade in the Black Sea port city of Odessa, where the president was meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Zelensky and members of the Greek delegation were not harmed, despite the missile landing some 500 feet away, Greek officials told the Protothema news outlet. The Ukrainian presidential office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Zelensky and Mitsotakis were visiting the Odessa port around 10:40 a.m. when air-raid sirens could be heard. The explosion then occurred within minutes.
“We witnessed the strike today,” Zelensky told reporters after. “You see who we're dealing with; they don't care where to hit. I know there were casualties today; I don't know all the details yet, but I know there are casualties.”
“Whether they are military, civilians, international guests — it doesn't matter to these people,” Zelensky added. “Either they've lost their minds or they have no control over their terrorist army's actions. This emphasizes the need for us to defend ourselves, and the best way is through an air defense system.”

If the Russias were intent on targeting Zelensky, they would not miss. This was probably a purposeful Ukrainian miss and the reason for that is the last sentence of this article that Zelensky said. “This emphasizes the need for us to defend ourselves, and the best way is through an air defense system.”

Same here. As an American, and as long as we didn’t supply the missile, pay for the missile, target the missile, or pay for extra houses for Putin, then it’s none on our business and so I have no comment other than possibly suggesting that Zelensky might now want use an umbrella and wear goggles when walking around in public.

Russia’s Isklander missiles are not accurate. Launched from Crimea. Russia botched the assassination just like they botched everything in their 3 day invasion.

Z is safe. Attacks hit Odessa every day, so trying to tie this to his visit is lame. Keep in mind that a new leader would be selected by Washington if Z died (since they aren’t holding elections), and it might well be someone more effective at meeting NATO/globalist goals. So there is no point in Russia taking him out.

Russia had intelligence on the visit and motorcade from collaborators. This is the first time Russia has used a ballistic missile against Odesa in the entire war.
