Fani Willis Paid Nathan Wade From Confiscated Property Fund

Atlanta District Attorney Fani Willis paid the chief prosecutor in Donald Trump's election fraud trial out of her seized property fund for the first three months he was hired, disclosed work contracts show.

Willis and Wade testified in February that they were previously in a relationship but insist that relationship began after Willis hired him to oversee the prosecution of Donald Trump and his co-accused, who were indicted for allegedly trying to overthrow the Georgia result of the 2020 presidential election.

The pair denied in their testimony that they had tried to cover up their relationship until Wade was hired to prosecute the Trump case.

Willis and Wade did not sign a contract until more than four months into Nathan Wade's role as chief prosecutor in the Donald Trump election fraud case in Georgia.

Wade earned an average of $25,149 a month for his first 26 months on the case despite never having prosecuted a felony, a Newsweek review of his invoices has found.

Government stealing money from citizens, to spend on personal corruption and political lawfare against opponents.

That’s Marxist America in 2024.

When lawyers get in trouble it’s usually for financial indiscretions. Commingling of client’s funds being the most common.

Is any of that cash she keeps around her house that she says is change from Publix from the seized property fund? Why aren’t funds like those going to the State treasury in escrow at the very least? Why do DAs have discretionary access?

So, it’s not just felony stupid, it’s a RICO case?

She was doing what she was accusing Trump of doing?

You would never sell this as a script in Hollywood — too far out, no one would believe it.

smh

I saw that article earlier but wasn't sure what to make of Fani's use of the Confiscated Property Fund to pay Wade. Does anyone know the legal and/or ethical issues involved in that?

Was Fani attempting to get Wade's compensation off the budget and hide it by using CPF monies.

Wade earned an average of $25,149 a month for his first 26 months on the case

After hearing all the evidence, these two need to be disbarred and prosecuted for felonies and perjury.

This news isn’t stopping any time soon. Ashleigh Merchant (opposing lawyer) is subpoenaed to testify in front of the Georgia Judiciary committee in two weeks.
Stay tuned. Buy the popcorn futures.
