I’ve been struck by lightning. I had come indoors when I saw saw and heard a big storm coming, but was right next to a high point-an FM antenna. It was not fun, and I do not intend to repeat the experience...
I was almost struck by lightning. A thunderstorm came out of nowhere and it started pouring on top of me as I went to check the mail. A few houses away I saw a bolt of lightning hit the street. I ran back inside he house FAST, but my hair was standing on end. Then I got a bad headache and I suddenly had no energy for hours. Like the life had been zapped right out me. I think I got pretty lucky that day. My Mama was visiting from out of state, and it was sure nice she was around!
In West Glacier, a huge thunderstorm came ripping up the valley at night.

SPARKS flew out of all the sockets lighting up the cabin brighter than day.
In the morning, we saw the tree 20 feet from our cabin had been blown to pieces, with chunks 100 feet away.
My house is the highest point in the town I live. I have replaced 3 well pumps, well pump controls, 2 microwaves, 2 washers, 4 TV’s, 2 boiler controls, numerous outlets, radios,, and computors electronics etc, all due to lightning strikes, not fun.
Lived to tell at least...👍
