Levi Strauss & Co. is laying off nearly 150 people from its San Francisco headquarters as part of a massive round of cuts it's executing this year.
The layoff affects 146 employees at Levi's office at 1155 Battery Street, according to a regulatory filing, and will be effective on April 27.
The company first announced impending layoffs in an earnings report in January, when it said that it would reduce its global workforce by 10% to 15% in the first half of 2024 as part of an initiative meant to save the company $100 million. At the time, Levi's didn't specify which offices would be affected.

I haven’t been able to afford Levi’s in 2-3 decades.

I don’t understand what WARN is…
It’s an NYS law that requires employers give employees notice before a mass layoff.
There are some huge loopholes in it, but it does provide a preview of coming attractions.
They’ve been leftist for a long time now. I don’t wear their stuff because there are fine alternatives. They don’t make anything unique I like. Same with Nike and a few other brands. Normally I don’t probe the politics of every purchase I make but when a company like Levis go out of their way to proclaim their leftism I’m happy to look elsewhere.
