Former President Donald Trump's escalating legal penalties are a little larger after a judge in the United Kingdom ordered him to pay more than $380,000 to a firm run by Christopher Steele, the ex-British spy who penned the infamous 2016 dossier accusing Trump of harboring close ties to the Russians.
Trump sued Steele's firm, Orbis Business Intelligence, in a London court in 2022 over claims that the series of memos known as the "Steele Dossier" harmed his reputation and violated British data privacy laws.

Trump has a lot of properties in Britain.
He has a very prestigious golf course in Scotland.
Trump has hotels all over the world. My guess is that he has one in the UK. So these creeps can enforce it one way or another.

Exactly, WTF? This is so absurd as to be stupid. Why don’t they just find a judge to order Trump to write blank checks and then sue him for writing hot checks when he runs out of money? He has to win this election just for self-protection, if even that is possible.
That’s cool, when he gets back into the White House with one stroke of the pen pen he can find a way to cost them 1000 times that amount in tariffs and fees.

Very true; MI-5 reportedly cooperated closely in spreading these lies about Trump. And this was under a supposed Conservative government, the current version of which has seemed like Biden’s bunch for the past ten years (Biden was endorsed by the then-PM Boris Johnson, a “Conservative” who strongly advocates Ukraine military intervention even though the two Brit carriers didn’t have the components or staff to sail to the Red Sea against the Houthis). Well its unlikely the “Conservatives” will be in power next year - they are going to be roundly defeated by the Labour Party in the upcoming election and probably won’t be back in power for ten years. It really won’t matter as there is little difference between them.
