It is an interesting point. I would suspect that the Biden/Harris ticket was NOT designed for more than one term. I further suspect that Harris was insurance FOR maintaining Biden. She will never be elected, herself - no one wants her.
I think they are stuck with what they have. They are going to have to prevail with Biden/Harris and it looks like there will be a President Harris or a Ginsburgian Biden somewhere in the second term.

Maher took a turn a few years ago. He’s now distancing himself from all that “progressive” nonsense. Instead he’s been talking like a classical liberal, like someone in the JFK mold.

On the one hand, saying "She's a woman of color" is like saying that Elon Musk is an "African American."
On the other hand, suggesting that a Republican reject is better than Kamala Harris is either a "dog whistle" that African-Americans are being replaced with Indian-Americans, or that a Biden-Harris ticket is a guaranteed loser.

What Maher is missing is that the VP spot isn’t the biggest problem with the Biden-Harris ticket. Any ticket with Biden at the top is a bad ticket in 2024.
