None of them will really talk about it because the retards will say it’s something different. And that will get the old folks worked up.

“The Donald speaks or at least hints about the truth of entitlements. Will it kill his election chances?”

He would have gone after Social Security in his first term, but he knew it was radioactive, no matter how much Paul Ryan tried to convince him otherwise.

Did you notice Medicare premiums went up and coverage down on January 1, 2024?

"The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $174.70 for 2024, an increase of $9.80 from $164.90 in 2023. The annual deductible for all Medicare Part B beneficiaries will be $240 in 2024, an increase of $14 from the annual deductible of $226 in 2023."

Cuts are coming regardless of who wins the election.

Our financial position as a nation is getting weaker.

“Here is your $2500.00 a month social security check. Oh, by the way - that loaf of bread over there is now $269.00”

See - no cut in “entitlements”.

Biden has practically promised to raise taxes, so I expect that, and they will aimed at the Middle Class and below, as that’s where the money is (with a mostly symbolic hit on the wealthy).

So look for things like $10 gas, a VAT, and a wealth tax (that will reach very far down).

Nope if entitlements are for stopping funding illegals for life with welfare schools EBT cards free medical on and on and other free gifts alone would save trillions.

That’s just one of thousands of entitlements the feds have been handing out for years.

Agreed. And isn't Biden also saying he wants to cut the SS benefits of people who earned high incomes?

Of course, the definition of "high income" fluctuates a lot with Dims. All my life whenever they say they'll raise taxes on only the high income earners, they wound up raising mine too even when I was making less than $7/hr.

Biden while a Senator, repeatedly called for cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and veteran’s benefits. He also was one of the Democrats that voted 49-0 to tax Social Security benefits. He should be judged by his actions, not his pandering claims in the middle of a campaign.

NBC wants to put SS and medicare in the talking points because inflation and the border are so big and Trump is so obviously on the right side. So talking about this helps Biden. We know SS and medicare are larger than the budgeted cash. But we have gone into debt much further than the overage of SS and medicare. So you can’t say you care about SS and medicare debt without saying that Biden spent over 10 times the amount of money it would take to save the two. So Trump should say that he will not do anything and we will have the money. He should be fanatic that everyone will get their SS and medicare.

The reality is that one trillion dollars would save the the two programs for the single decade that they are insolvent. Then they quickly become solvent again as Gen X is so small and boomers are dying off.

Abortion and SS and medicare are wonderful topics to get liberal boomers to the polls. Stop talking about them if you ever want to win an election.

I don’t believe President
Trump would cut any
retirees’ benefits who
legitimately put their time
in. That would be inviting
a move that he would be hated
and well remembered for.
I think what we’re looking
at here, is each would invoke
different areas to hit.
Trump would cut the pork
while Biden would go after
the legitimate and pander to
the illegals.
It’s easy to armchair and try
and tell someone they’re an
idiot for not saving every
dam*ed dime they could. Life
gets complicated.
Those of us who played by the
rules should not have to
be deprived of what they
EARNED. SS is not an
entitlement for those that
WORKED for it.

"Trump vs. Biden: Where 2024 presidential candidates stand on Social Security, Medicare"

Imagine how much more Medicare and Social Security funding might be available to American citizens if there was less of it going to subsidize trespassing non-citizens.
