Back in the day, I went through Security Schooling while in the USASA.
They made no bones about it. Possess classified information in any form, for any reason, or even for no reason, outside the secure compounds in which we worked, and we would prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I think the issue that will be used to differentiate this from President Trump are allegations that Trump was obstructing the investigatory process and encouraging others to do so.

Easy. They’ve already claimed extreme bias and selective prosecution by Smith. Smith replied with the most lily-livered bs response I’ve ever heard claiming it wasn’t because Biden, Pence and Hillary! all didn’t mean to do it. Now, Smith’s excuse is completely destroyed. The DC BS case is over. There’s no way they can go forward with it. Biden’s failures as a human being destroyed the DC case. It is illegal to selectively prosecute.
They already DID. Smith replied with a cowardly response that he somehow knew Trump’s intent and that Clinton, Pence and Biden didn’t MEAN to do it. Now, their case in DC is over. It can’t continue after today’s information. Selective prosecution is an automatic dismissal.
And how many secret, stolen by Biden documents, HAVEN’T been found????

I once heard a DemocRat say that no one was above the law. But then they were talking about Trump, not Biden.
Just some food for thought... :
If they make Trump fall for this, then Democrats will be happy letting Republicans do the dirty work for them in making Biden fall as well (they would love to have Biden set aside). The action against Trump would create a precedent, which would make Biden fall based on the same issue. Would such a scenario make Trump and Biden ineligible for the presidential election?
Anyway, if one falls, the other falls.
Quite chaotic aftermath - but it would be a dream-scenario for the Democrats.
It’s funny how there’s a contradiction there, isn’t it…
