He waits two weeks to give his opinion. Two weeks puts him past the filing deadline for a challenger in his 73% Biden voting district. Lo and behold, he now has a leftist challenger. He goes on the radio to explain he’d already made his decision before he got a challenger. Being assured that he will be voted out of office has no bearing on the decision he is still waiting to render.

I just watched Phil Holloway say that if Judge McAfee disqualifies Fani Willis, her whole office is off the case, and she can’t appeal the decision.

The judge is a honky, a Rat AND a wimp.

As the late, great G-Man used to say, "The Fixeroo is in!"

Mark my words, he’ll be tender to Fani.

It’s a little more complicated than that. He was appointed, not elected to his present judgeship. He has been appointed a number of times by the governor. So on the surface, it may seem like the upcoming election will affect his ruling, I personally don’t think it will. The fact that he needs two weeks to prepare his ruling, seems to lean to him taking her out. If he was going to keep her, that would be a straight-forward ruling, require much less time to justify.

All that being said, I will not be surprised if he keeps her on the case. Trump’s legal team might not be too unhappy either, since she has been made the poster child for sleazy lawfare.

I’ll bet you a $10 donation to FR he keeps her on the case.

I actually don’t think it will impact his decision. Doesn’t matter which way he rules. He’s already lost the election. That group of voters is going to go for the leftist candidate regardless. I’m pretty sure the judge knows that.

It’s pretty obvious that recruiting a challenger was an attempt by Fani at intimidation.

Thinking this will backfire.

McAfee seems like he has significant integrity and will rule accordingly.

Besides, this judge has little to no chance of re election in Fulton County regardless of how he rules so he really has no motivation to moderate his decision. In fact, his best chance for re election is to take a hard line on Willis corruption.

I suspect that Willis is out.

Judge used to work for Big Fani. You just KNOW she has to be the WORST BOSS EVER.

Maybe he’ll use this opportunity to mete revenge on the nasty skank.

Now the Trump is the presumptive nominee, it will behoove McAfee to recuse himself from the case since there is now a clear (not that it wasn’t before) case of conflict of interest. His only other move is to say he is waiting for the J6 crap to preempt his case, which as we already know the J6 peeps are waiting on him.

Best bet, dismiss the case due to lack of evidence and then remove himself from any future issues with Willis.

Actually, he didn't work directly for Fani. He worked in the DA's office in a position that was inferior to Fani's.

Rumor has it that Fani is extremely unpopular among her underlings in the DA's office (she is said to be imperious). The judge is counted among those who dislike Fani.

Yes, Mcafee contributed $150 to Fani's campaign but he also supported various Republicans and interned/clerked for some Republican judges.

He’s ruling this Friday. Already has a challenger. He knows they lied and there is statute and rules to disqualify that whole lying crew. He should do the right thing.
