Washington Post Columnist Calls on Kamala Harris to Step Aside ‘For the Country’s Sake’

Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker is calling on Vice President Kamala Harris to step aside. The media is terrified of the ticket that they’ve supported for the last three years.

Who exactly do they think is going to come riding in to save them? Michelle Obama has made it clear that she has absolutely no interest in running for office.

Parker’s column is raising quite a few eyebrows.

FOX News reports:

Vice President Harris should ‘step aside’ for good of the country, Washington Post columnist says

Vice President Harris should “step aside,” Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker wrote on Friday, as she called the vice president’s performance “disappointing,” and warned she’s become a “burden to the Democratic ticket.”

While she said she was pulling for Harris to succeed, Parker argued her performance “has been disappointing.”

“The Kamala conundrum comes down to this: She was picked because she was Black and female, a combo tantamount to job security. Now that she has become a burden to the Democratic ticket, Biden can’t fire her. He can’t risk alienating his base. Full stop. The seriousness of this situation can’t be overstated. Biden’s diminishing faculties, notwithstanding his relatively successful State of the Union address, and his increasing physical frailty are concerning,” Parker wrote.

“Whatever the reasons, it has seemed that Harris’s role was to be quiet, lest she embarrass her boss with her sometimes inane, rambling remarks and a laugh that erupts from nowhere about nothing obvious to others,” Parker wrote.

The left is not taking this well.

This Kathleen Parker column calling on VP Harris to step aside isn't exactly being received well on the left… https://t.co/3VfAtOE5bb

If she resigns, can they plug Hillary into her socket?

Calling the sound she emits a “laugh” doesn’t do it justice.
It’s more like an extended cackle, a guffaw, or an hysterical explosion.
Cringe worthy.

“ Michelle Obama has made it clear that she has absolutely no interest in running for office”.

I have brought that up so many times but for some reason people never believed it. Nice to see it brought up here.

As if she’s the problem. LMAO

Sure she’s a dunce, but Kibbles-n-Biden has even less to
offer. He’s a zero sum gain.

Close down Fish Wrap Central. Then just maybe we’ll take
another look.

I’m not saying shes definitely going to enter the race under
the Democrat banner, but stranger things have happened.

First of all, how many times did Hillary say this before
jumping in with all four hooves?

“...she has absolutely no interest in running for office.”

That is exactly the nightmarish scenario I was thinking of, or maybe big Mike.

Brandon can’t step aside unless Kamala steps aside first. If Brandon steps aside first, Kamala has to be the nominee because black (ish) woman. If Kamala is the nominee, the whole house of cards comes toppling down because she’s terrible by any measure, but worse than that, she doesn’t have any inside-the-beltway infrastructure of people to protect her (in large part because she’s terrible by any measure and can’t keep staffers.)

It’s a suicide pact. Two turtles on two fenceposts.

But don’t get cocky. There’s nothing more unifying than a common enemy, and Trump has plenty of enemies. Brandon won’t lose, he has to be beaten.

Gatewaypundit is being their usual gay obtuse self. This is not WaPo. This is a conservative editorial by their token conservative.

I don’t see the problem. Why can’t GP write about a WaPo editorial?

She can be replaced. But the next in line to take over the POTUS if she is not available is Speaker Mike Johnson, a conservative. There is no way she is going to get out of the way and the DNC let that happen if Biden goes down.

Don’t get mad at a little kidding here.

August 2, 1927 TaraRoss.com website.

On this day in 1927, Calvin Coolidge declines to run for re-election as President. His statement to the press was simple: “I do not choose to run for president in 1928.”

He didn’t actually speak these words. Instead, he had the statement printed on slips of paper. When journalists had finished assembling for the presidential briefing, he simply had the papers distributed. The doors to the room were barred so that no reporter could leave until everyone had received his slip of paper.
——the 30th president of the United States from 1923 to 1929. (He ran.)
////////////////////////
George W Bush....
After Bush won reelection as governor of Texas in 1998 with a resounding victory, many national political figures urged him to run for the presidency. On the morning of his second inauguration as governor of Texas, Bush told his mother that he was still struggling with the decision. She was not sympathetic, suggesting that her son should simply decide. The church sermon that day described the calling of Moses by God to lead his people from Egypt. During the service, Bush’s mother leaned toward him and said, “He is talking to you.” The sermon concluded with a message about the opportunity that each individual has to find his calling. Bush felt a calm confidence that he was meant to run for President and authorized Karl Rove to begin preparing for a national campaign.

Kathleen Parker seems not to realize how Democrats think. The “country’s sake” registers as little with them as would a lesson in calculus delivered to a cat.
