It will be interesting to watch this play out, but I for one would like to see radical Islam be contained by moderate Islam, in the Huntington sense of a "clash." Time will tell.

MBS took power in Saudi Arabia. So radical Islam is being contained in that country. Now women are allowed to drive. That's a huge win. But the big question is what will happen to Saudi Arabia after MBS. Like you said, time will tell.

Indeed. As in the terms of Huntington's thesis of a "clash between civilizations," Islam is in trouble within itself, as if Islamic civilizations are vying, and not all will stand in time. Given the options between being a reasonable neighbor or an enemy, Islam's most aggressive side cannot win WITHOUT winning the whole of the world. I think that very unlikely in the long run.

Are you aware of the hadith which suggests in the real "end time" Islam will wither and return to its hole? Or a stream of thought within Islam that the Jews should be in Israel? The image that Islam is a single entity is incorrect, of course.

How many times do they have to settle it? It’s been done a few times already but the “Palestinians” and those in support keep stirring the pot because their real desire is extermination of Israel.
