I also saw Trump as the proverbial ‘rock’ you cite in your recollection. I also recollect his failure for whatever reason you want to devise regarding domestic issues. Trump is not a vindictive person by nature. He will not be ‘Lincoln’s Grant’. He will move where the political winds of favor are easy for 6th grade reading level and prime time TV audiences to understand.
Unfortunate for us; he could have been the wrecking ball
He will equivocate on many social issues - let’s wait to see his move on baby killing. He has already softened his stance relative to a Supreme Court appt regarding the issue.
As he has in many others- plus how easily his ego allows him to be manipulated as evidence by bad cabinet choices and inability to see the backstabbers and become one himself.
Really too bad.

Nothing like a defeatist pessimist. Even at what you call ‘lame duck’ he’s better than any other alternative on the horizon, if ONLY to show the real Americans left out there that there still IS some hope, that we CAN fight back if we stick together and stop listening to pandering politicians.

Just stating the reality.

If we went with DeSantis, he would have more time to maneuver because he may be the POTUS for the next eight years.

With Trump, the Left knows that all they have to do is to obstruct until January 20, 2029. And it'll be easy for them to do that.

So I see that your ‘reality’ is defeat. DeSantis had just one chance and that was ‘with’ Trump (or his endorsement). Not he has neither. He won’t even be on the horizon for 2028 now.

You're right. DeSantis lost to Trump. Our base chose Trump.

That said, we limited ourselves to four years. When we could have gotten eight.

Had DeSantis played it right, we could have gotten 12 years. That’s the real tragedy here. Regardless, I’ll gladly take those 4 years with Trump, if only to see a lot of Democrats (and a few RINOs) burst some neck veins with apoplexy.

Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden.

So since 1992, both parties take turns holding the White House, usually for eight years (except for Trump).

So if Trump is able to win this time, it's likely that Gavin Newsom will win in 2028 if we are looking from recent history.

Shapiro never says a nice thing about Trump. He always has to take a swipe at him.

The following is from a speech given by Sebastion Gorka describing what a MARINE said about President Trump.

(When Trump was President) Our friends felt safe, and our enemies were scared.

Here is the entire speech if anyone wants to listen to it. IMHO, it should be broadcast on TV every day up until the election.

Sebastian Gorka explains why America - and the world - needs President Trump back in office

Let’s change the law to state that if A President doesn’t get a second term due to the other party CHEATING MASSIVELY, then the clock is reset and that President gets a full 2 terms (should he win the 2nd term election fairly).

The Dems are always changing the law to suit themselves. Well... WE THE PEOPLE think it should be changed to offset the chicanery that has gone on. Maybe it would give them cause to reconsider cheating anymore.

Decorum is a valid question but the substantive needs of USA are far more important now, imho.

I’ll vote for an uncouth naked Viking berserker warrior with rabies and the mange if s/he wants to repair some of the damage the current regime’s inflicted on the country. And to hell with decorum.

Meatball got 1.7% of the primary votes. Why do you RINOs keep pushing stiffs to the front of the line?

“Ben, just how is Trump “deeply flawed???””

I think Trump is shallowly flawed, and down deep a good person.

I would need to see Shapiro’s actual words, not his words filtered through MSM.

Whenever I see a republican go on and on about Trumps flaws. I usually am hearing from a republican who is deeply flawed themselves and is unable to see how flawed they are... we all fall short of what ever standard we set forth.

“Deeply flawed human being”

I love all of these people saying things like this about Trump. As if they themselves aren’t just as “deeply flawed”. As if every other politician, celebrity, and journalist isn’t “deeply flawed”, and usually in much more significant and actual ways than Trump.

Trump's not a lawyer. That's how the filthy lawyers of DC view their world.. If your not a lawyer, you have NO business in THEIR town..

It seems lawyers believe they can get away with anything nowadays. The large number of lawyers in America are to becoming nothing more then just another corrupt and dangerous street gang that we must deal with.

No politician is perfect.
