The only problem is the assertion is nonsense. Africans didn't suddenly become Christians as a result of current election cycle American fundamentalists.
In former British colonies (for example) it was the efforts of C of E missionaries long ago. The Africans stayed Christian and the C of E did not.
Bingo! The African Methodist are the same, far more conservative than their counterparts elsewhere.
