ROME — Pope Francis wrote a letter to a group of mostly South American migrants Thursday, calling them “the suffering flesh of Christ.”
The pontiff told the 3,000 migrants gathered at Lajas Blancas in Panama en route to the United States that he would like to be there with them personally but instead was represented by a group of bishops from Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia as well as Catholic pastoral workers.
The migrants arrive in Lajas Blancas after crossing the Darien Gap, a dense tropical forest covering over 1,400,000 acres along the border between Panama and Colombia and one of the most dangerous migrant routes in the Americas.

They wouldn’t be ‘suffering’ if they stayed home........................
“They wouldn’t be ‘suffering’ if they stayed home”
You are probably not familiar with conditions in the countries they left
They mostly suffer at the hands of those communists this Pope has sought to support.
Yes they are, because they live under the kind of rule you advocate for, one of tyranny.
So Frankie thinks Christ was a law breaker?
Friggin’ Drama Queen with a Fed Ex envelope for a funny hat. - Miss ya Bernie!
They look well fed coming across the Rio Grande.
In one generation they will turn our country into the same place they left..............
No they’re not. The solution is for the nations and the Vatican to fix their homelands - and yes that means white colonization because, obviously, these twits can’t maintain their own lands on their own.
Thank God for Javier Milei.
Even Joseph had to return to Bethlehem, his family’s town of origin, to comply with the Roman census.
There is very ample precedent for American action in Central America.
A battalion of US Marines should invade Honduras and depose the existing government. The northern Honduran borders must be sealed to prevent outmigration.
The men running the government and promoting the Vatican inspired migration north should be arrested and imprisoned. Honduras as it presently exists must come to an end.
They can obviously be taught to build houses, grow food and work in slaughterhouses in their homelands.
The jobs they can do here they can do in their homeland.
Fixing their homelands is the only way to end suffering worldwide. The poor people of the world (maybe two to three billion) can’t all come to the USA and UK.
People in Congress (Lankford, Johnson et al.) should not try to buy their way into Heaven with money taken by governmental coercion. Taxes are supposed to be for the support of government and not of individuals.
What was stopping him? Couldn’t afford airfare? What a clown.
OK, you win the thread!
Pontifical virtue-signaling again.
Beat me to it. If the poop loves them so much then he needs to take them to the vatican. Not doing that he needs to shut his trap.

Well, just because someone lives in a crappy house doesn’t make it acceptable for them to barge into MY HOUSE and expect my family to feed them. And AMERICA IS MY HOUSE!
Let them fix their own damn house and their own situation. You want to be “understanding and tolerant” then YOU GO to THEIR HOUSE and YOU do the work to fix them (which may well be mission impossible) or support them. Don’t ask me to go along on your “mission” and don’t expect me to support you financially in that fool’s errand.
How many young boys have suffered the flesh of Francis?
I wasn’t saying we should take them in, simply commenting on the posters claim that they wouldn’t be suffering in their own country.
