Beyond ‘Ghost Guns’: Democrat House Member Pushes ‘Zombie Gun’ Ban

Freshman House Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) is heading up the Democrats’ latest gun control push by seeking to ban “zombie guns.”

Spectrum News reported that Frost wants to close the “zombie gun loophole,” and he has the support of more than 20 Democrat House members.

The “zombie gun” moniker is one that Frost applies to guns that were not destroyed after being “retired by law enforcement” or taken in via gun buybacks.

Those are the guns which are stolen by law enforcement. Remember, they get first choice. If you see a gun for sale, you can be sure that no cop wanted it.

A “zombie gun”? How about a ray-gun. I wonder if it could shoot 800 rounds per second?

I ran a gun store for several years. Finally, we were robbed, when they ran the serial numbers I had 2 that had been reported stolen.

I was surprised to find out that it was a pair of handguns that one of my buddies traded in. Since we had to trace them back, I asked where he got them, he bought them both from a Missouri city cop. You can pretty much guess where he came up with two handguns previously reported stolen.

LOL! Decades ago when a police force changes firearms they would often trade in the old ones and buy new ones. I saw many S&W M-39 pistols at a gun show years ago, originally from Illinois.

“Those are the guns which are stolen by law enforcement. Remember, they get first choice. If you see a gun for sale, you can be sure that no cop wanted it.”

My first thought also. You can bet that any weapon ‘acquired’ by the PoPos that is worth any decent money is soon added to someone’s private collection. The really untraceable guns are distributed about to be used as ‘throw downs’.
