His title is ‘President Trump’, not ‘former President Trump’.
The reason for the seemingly contradictory statements is this:
Market valuations are based on expectations - Trump must assure those investing in him that their investments are sound. If rumors that he is on the verge of bankruptcy are not debunked, investors could sell their interests, this damaging market valuations of his real estate holdings.
Meanwhile, his legal basis for appealing the nearly half billion bond is that it is excessive - that is a hardship.
That is why his lawyers are saying it’s impossible to come up with the money for the bond, while Trump is saying he has the money but it’s earmarked for other things.
Two different statements intended for two different audiences.
It all makes perfect sense.

The proper etiquette is to address people by their highest prior position.
They have no trouble calling Newt Gingrich, “Mister Speaker” (which I heard as recently as yesterday). Or “Governor Huckabee”. Etc.
They pull this “former” sh!t ONLY with Trump.
When President Trumps back in office, he needs to lay charges of treason against Engoron and James and arrest them and throw them into Gitmo jail with instructions to let the other inmates “enjoy recreational play”
