Yes. There is also another factor at play here - so-called ‘sustainability’. I think the more one digs into the left’s rationale for this new building the more troubling it becomes. It may be more than just a waste of money.

It also provided the highest potential to advance sustainability and equity.”

New scam. This is the federal government. Plus it'll get built in PG County. Contractors will rip off the Feds (haha).

FBI isn't happy about the site, they want it in Virginia. Estimated completion? 2040.

The silver lining of the whole thing is that the influence of the FBI is apparently limited. They thought they could muscle their way to a fancy new headquarters in Virginia. Now they can’t change the site from PG County without appearing to be openly racist.
