I don’t think you need AI’s help to make bad music. There’s an interview with Reid on youtube he spends like an hour and a half talking about his experiments with AI. And he mostly aimed it at his own catalog, he didn’t want to steal, he wanted to learn. And he found it interesting and disturbing.
