What good was the majority? Was there something that did not go the left’s way?

The effective House majority was lost when the Red Wave fizzled.
Largely McCarthy’s fault.

Having the majority did us no good at all when he was there. So who cares?

What’s your excuse for all the other times Republicans lost the majority when you weren’t Speaker?

Did his resignation from Congress have anything to do with that?
If the Republicans truly lose the majority, anyone person can be isolated and blamed.
But these Republicans are truly traitors in trying to have Republicans lose the majority. They have/will have betrayed the party, their constitutents, and the country, and handed the nation over to the wolves.

There was no “Majority” when McCarthy was Speaker.
Only Compromised House Republicans.

From down in FlyOverVille, it sure looks like the D party brass know how to get (win, seize, or steal) power and use it (legitimately and otherwise),
while
the R party couldn’t find its way into (or out of?) the toilet even if given a GPS and a brass-band escort with the Star of Bethleham to guide them down a red carpet pathway.
Gotta sign off, the GOP reminds me that the Three Stooges reruns are coming on the boob toob

A majority is in effect no majority when it cannot stick to the benefit of being the majority - forcing the other guy, not your guys, to compromise.

No, they lost the majority by not following through with actions, all talk, and ignored voters. Republicans had the power of the purse, they could have held their ground on immigration, on stopping money to Israel, and more. But, nope, like this week, they fold and show their true colors as neo-Democrats.
