Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Israel had “crossed the threshold of intent” and was causing genocide in Gaza.
On the House floor, Ocasio-Cortez said, “If you want to know what an unfolding genocide looks like, open your eyes. It looks like the force famine of 1.1 million in a sense. We must write our story in this moment of what it means and who we are as Americans and our story must be not that we were good men who did nothing now.”

genocide, the deliberate and systematic destruction of a group of people because of their ethnicity, nationality, religion, or race.
The Israelis are going to lengths never before seen in the history of warfare to prevent injury to a civilian population of Gaza despite the fact that Hamas deliberately hides behind civilians and Hamas actually kills Gaza civilians so they can use the deaths as propaganda against Israel.
Israel is also sending in massive quantities of humanitarian aid into the Gaza war zone to to provide relief for the Gaza civilians but Hamas steals the food and supplies from the relief workers for their own military use or to sell it to the Gazans who were supposed to get it for free.
Ocasio -Cortez is spouting propaganda that is a total moral inversion of what is really happening in Gaza - it's Hamas that imposing genocide on it's own people to try to gain an advantage in their war with Israel.
