You recall incorrectly. Trump purposely did not endorse her. When she was re-elected in January he offered a formulaic congratulation and started moves to successfully force her resignation.
President Trump fully supported Ronna McRomney as recently as 2022. No need to air brush that history now.

While Trump is awesome he is not a God-like being able to watch over and constantly monitor those who purport to be his supporters while dealing with being attacked on so many other fronts simultaneously.
I’m in awe that he’s stood up strong this far and gains more power from every new attack levied upon him when most would have thrown in the towel. “I need this man. He fights.”

It should be remembered that if you are going to move against someone you had better be able to take them out because if you do not there will be blowback.
Ronna had deep RINO support. Until Trump could remove her he needed to give some lip service. Just as in his 1st term he needed to give some positions to party loyalists who worked against him and that Mitch would confirm.
