A new poll has found that less than 40 percent of young Black voters are motivated to vote in November’s election.
The poll, conducted by In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda with PerryUndem and released on Monday, found that just 38 percent of Black voters between the ages of 18 and 29 said they are “almost certain” to vote in the fall. This number is in stark contrast to 59 percent of all respondents who said the same.
A gender divide also cropped up in the poll. While 63 percent of Black men said they are “almost certain” to vote in November, 56 percent of Black women said the same.
While 54 percent of total respondents said voting in the 2024 elections is “extremely important, 48 percent of young Black voters lean away from thinking it’s important to vote this fall.

Everyone will vote. They often get over 100% turnout in their districts.
They want more free stuff.

Well how about those 40% names are used to mail in a ballot for Joe?
You know, there’s an opportunity here for the GOP to expand its base on sound fiscal policy and tax policy as well as justice under the law.
But, I imagine the GOP will squander this opportunity as it does with just about everything.
They may not think they are going to vote but some RAT will fill out a ballot and vote for them.
It would be intersting to pick a few who sit it out. Wait until it is all over and look to see if they voted in the election.
The Democrats will vote for them, thereby saving “democracy”.
At first I thought, “Well, that’s good news”; but on further review, I can’t say that. “Community organizers” know just what to do with that: circulate a “rumor” that you can get $500 for those mailed ballots — just bring ‘em on down to the neighborhood community center and we’ll put ‘em to some good use.
Suddenly the participatin’ rate goes up near 100%.
Ah, but if it becomes known...
In AZ, at least, they already cheat in plain sight.
I’m not saying it’s hopeless. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.
What percentage of young Black voters are in jail or prison?
Right.
Thanks to ballot harvesting, over 100% of them will vote anyway.

Not voting is better than voting the wrong way.
I call cowardice on them (the 40%). They are realizing the folly of liberal politics, but are unwilling to openly oppose them for fear of being labeled “Uncle Tom.” Some blacks will cast their votes for Trump, but far too many won’t. They are unwilling to admit they’ve been had by liberal politicians. I believe they had a term for those who went along with “Massah”.
Democrats then become outraged when these actions are described as cheating. To them, they are just protecting their democracy - voting on behalf of the less able who believe in their redistributionist policies but have too many social handicaps to make it to the polling place and cast ballots. Who could object to that? /s
