No, my understanding is that he can’t appeal in New York without fronting the money or other guarantee of payment as a stay bond. That’s another reason — among many — why the judgment amount is so insidious.

The Appeals Court did not reduce the fine, they reduced the appeal bond.
Of course. This recent ruling only impacts the amount Trump must pay now. Trump is still on the hook for the full amount plus interest.
Letitia James is just clarifying this point in case some people missed it.
