It’s not mental illness that has played a role in these attacks. It’s chronic drug / alcohol addiction that damages peoples’ brains to the point where they are manifesting mental illness- like symptoms. I’ve worked with the homeless for 31 years. It’s a rare person who suffers from stand alone mental illness.

Evil exists. If Jesus casted out demons, they too exist. That may be why treatments are not working.
Anyone who thinks they can treat evil has never seen it put someone in a gas chamber, then just claim they were following orders to avoid punishment. I haven’t seen it myself, but the testimony of those who survived is not to be dismissed.
