Thank you for the update.

THe ship was under the control of 2 local pilots. The ship ppers to have lost electrical power just before the collision, but why did the pilots not steer the ship center span of the bridge?

MOst high tonnage ships have at least one tug to take them out on slack tide. Now the tide is incoming, about a foot they say.

Fox had a retired Navy Seal on and he mentioned just that. Evidently, shipping companies don't want to pay for the tug unless it is a requirement.

Because there was no electrical power to turn the rudder. Steering is not mechanical like on Tupperware.

Pretty obvious, no power, no steering. Not enough time for emergency manual steerage.
