An old journalism axiom says that if everyone’s mad at you, you must be doing something right. Since NBC announced that it had hired Ronna McDaniel, the recently deposed chair of the Republican National Committee, as a paid contributor, everyone’s been mad. NBC executives are sure to be consoling themselves that they’re doing something right. It’s just hard to see what.

Sad if it’s true. I should hope that she will be courageous enough to be the counter-point to the leftist spew, but if she isn’t, then why did she take the job. Just for the money? That’s the best gig she could get? If it’s true, and she could sell out her principles and ideals so easily, she never should have had her job with the RNC in the first place. How is it that these people aren’t screened better?

Just to clarify to everybody who wonders where she will stand, left or right; her positions will be exactly what she’s told they will be by the people who sign her pay check. If they tell her to be opposition she will, and if they tell her to get on the liberal bandwagon, she will do that. Don’t delude yourself into thinking this woman has principles.
