Donald Trump's social media platform Truth Social (DJT) surged more than 50% in its first day of trading on the Nasdaq Tuesday morning.
Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group, Truth Social's parent company, were trading above $75 under the ticker symbol "DJT," Trump's initials, just after the market open.
The company merged with special purpose vehicle Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC) in a deal approved by shareholders last week. Prior to the merger, DWAC had been on the public market since 2021.
Trump founded Truth Social after he was kicked off major social media apps like Facebook and Twitter, the platform now known as X, following the Jan. 6 Capitol riots in 2021. He has since been reinstated on the platforms.

DJT media owes me at leat a billion dollars, because, I was the first one to suggest that he open his own Twitter/Facebook competition, after they kicked him off those sites. ;)

I’ve been averaging in since the beginning and am up bigly! To the moon!
I’ve been sitting on it for nearly 2 years as DWAC - rode it down and kept adding on the way. Most of it’s in warrants which now that the merger is finalized will provide a better rate of return.
And I bet you were the first guy to tear a sip hole in your coffee cup lid!? Add that billion and you’re pretty much set.
There are a few here who have been trashing DWAC, who won't like this either.

I wonder how many Congress critters using their inside information invested in this, including several who have made it their life mission to destroy Donald Trump? It would be easy enough to hide their identities so they have plausible deniability as they ride the gravy train. None of them have enough morals to prevent them from chasing after what they would see as dirty money. Hunter Biden and Myth Romney probably invested to diversify their Ukrainian holdings.
I got in on day one back in 21. I own a lot in the scheme of things but it’s been a treacherous run I can tell you that
Someone should ask Liz Cheney or Hillary if they own any shares in DJT
