On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated that a key plank of President Joe Biden’s agenda to lower costs is by “creating incentives to dramatically improve the use of clean energy in the United States” and “over time, this will help lower household energy costs.”
Host Andrea Mitchell asked, “[H]ow can you — I know you’re in Georgia today — help get the message to people that the economy is better and improve it even more, get those grocery prices down, help bring down the prices that people are feeling at their kitchen table?”

As far as so-called "green" energy making energy cheaper in the long run .... not for everybody and certainly not when the government is involved. The only chance for things like solar to be advantageous is if it's done at the individual level by the homeowner or business owner doing his own homework for his particular situation. Even for people in that kind of good situation for solar, very few people are going to do the kind of detailed analysis to make it beneficial.
Making the grid depend on solar is about as dumb as a diabetic signing on to the Stacey Abrams diet plan.

Creating a product monopoly has never lowered the price. It creates a situation of extortion and they can charge what they want.
