GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – A new poll measuring who may replace Republican Mike Gallagher in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional district shows one candidate currently holds a large lead over the field.

According to the latest Cygnal poll, Alex Bruesewitz, CEO of X Strategies, leads with 36 percent, followed by state senator Andrew Jacque with 15 percent, and former state senator Roger Roth with 12 percent.

In addition, the poll revealed that 64% of respondents preferred an outsider in politics over a professional politician, which would help Bruesewitz, who has never held public office.

They wrote the title to make it sound like Alex Bruesewitz is no longer allied with Trump. Former ally?

Good news, great news if it holds.

OK, but isn’t Gallagher quitting after the cutoff date so that he cannot be replaced until November?

Yes, more precisely January 2025.

It won't. Alex Bruesewitz will get clobbered in the general election. He's a nutjob.

Yeah, I remember you people saying virtually the same thing about Donald Trump, mainly because you people always think you have all the answers. We shall see, which is the same thing I said about DJT, because there are too many things that change the normal course of behaviors in the people.

I can't predict what will happen before it happens, but I'm also not Charlie Brown, nor do I know any females named Lucy personally.

In fact, I didn't really express 100% confidence as is clearly evidenced by the the words I chose to end my statement with.

I have typically have little faith in polls to begin with. Obviously some polls are better than others, but anytime the human factor is in the equation the element for errors are prominently in play. We both have seen far too many examples to be so ignorant as to believe polls, and that is the reason I put little, if any, stock into them at all.

“Alex Bruesewitz will get clobbered in the general election. He’s a nutjob.”

Oh, please.

But I guess random bitching about a candidate who is (or seems to be) insufficiently “moderate” is easier than looking at facts.

This is an R+10 district that Trump won in 2020 by 15+ points and will easily win again. So the “tie the candidate to Trump!” Democrat tactic, which may be effective in some squishy marginal districts, is hardly going to work here.

The district WAS marginal and kind of schizo after Toby Roth retired in 1996, fluctuating wildly at times. It even voted for the Monkey Messiah for president in 2008 before regaining its sanity in 2010, and it has done the right thing ever since at both the presidential and congressional levels.

If Bruesewitz wins the primary, which is likely assuming he officially even enters the race at some point which multiple sources say he has NOT yet done, then he will win the general barring a red (commie pinko) wave of massive proportions.

The Democrats don’t even have a candidate running in WI-8 yet, though there is still 2 months for them to find one. The one who is being recruited is some femiNazi abortionist “doctor”. I know we’re all supposed to think that pro-abortionism wins absolutely everywhere now, but somehow I’m not too scared in this case.

Thanks. We’re not in that district, so we’ve got nothing to vote on this coming Tuesday other than to vote *TRUMP* once again. :)
