A common theme used by advocates was that the immigrant workers died doing a job that Americans will not do.

I don't believe that those are jobs Americans won't do.

Illegals are being hired for less money and can be taken advantage of more easily.

All this pissing and moaning about the illegals who died. What about the American citizens who died? What are they? Chopped liver? Collateral damage?

Illegals had no business being on that construction project.

Not only that - a lot of construction jobs in California, the “migrants” are paid in cash - leaving them eligible for all kinds of government freebies b/c “they have no income” - they also get around child support payments this way. Some of them have two families that they support - one in the U.S., another in Mexico.

Americans will do these jobs 100%, I have plenty of male relatives that put themselves through college working good construction jobs in the summer. They’d never get these jobs now.

I was walking my dogs not too long ago under a bridge that was pretty well hidden from site - there were four city trucks hiding under there with the workers in the trucks all asleep - this was at 10 AM in the morning.
