During his closing monologue on Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher argued that America is better off than it was four years ago because we’re not in the middle of the time “when COVID hit and America wet itself, emptied its pockets, and curled up in a ball” by overreacting to the coronavirus pandemic.

Well, he has the cause and effect right. It’s not Biden’s policies that are giving us better numbers.
Maher always reminds me of the title of one of George Carlin’s albums, “Occupation: Fool”.

Rewriting history. Trump didn’t bring a single restriction on a state level. That was one of the things liberals were screaming at him for.
Maher conveniently forgets that Fauci, Birx, and a host of blue governors, mayors, Feederal agencies, and Big Pharma worked sympthatetically with one another to shut us up, lock us down, tank the economy, and enable the steal.

In my experience it seems that 26 is about the age that some people hear “the pop” and their heads come out of their rear ends; I generally don’t trust people that seem to “get it” on some issue later in life, which is why I generally distrust people like Bill Mahar after a lucid moment, or people like Tulsi Gabbard.
