Pollster Frank Luntz tried on Friday to explain to an oblivious CNN host why Evangelical Christians overwhelmingly support former President Donald Trump.
While the reasons should be obvious — Trump helped repeal Roe v. Wade, staunchly supports religious liberty, and has been an ally to Christians — host Brianna Keilar just couldn’t figure it out.
Indeed, in her opinion, Evangelicals should revile Trump because — wait for it — he’s an imperfect human being who’s said and done imperfect things.
For example, when asked in 2015 about whether he’d ever asked God for forgiveness, he essentially said no.
“I’m not sure I have,” he replied. “I just go and try and do a better job from there. I don’t think so.”

2015 was almost 10 years ago. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, including with President Trump's faith journey. I'm pretty sure he'd answer differently today.
Atheists vote almost entirely for Democrats and atheism is a pretty intense belief yet no one asks them why they vote for the candidate that the media always try to sell as the religious one.
It may be simpler than confused people tend to make it:
Evangelicals will go to the mat for love of two documents: the Bible and the Constitution. DJT is for preservation and protection of both.

You are dead on. I don’t see how anyone — not just Christians, but Jews, Moslems, Hindus, ethical agnostics,
anyone with an ounce of respect for others, could support Biden after he deliberately shat on religion. His “declaration” is perhaps the most offensive political act I have observed in my long lifetime.
Doing “imperfect things” and committing sin do NOT necessarily equate.
Ask him if he asks God for forgiveness of his sins and see what he says.
Next Easter on March 31st appears to be in the year 2086.
Frank Luntz did get it right in the political sense (it is only pragmatic in the choice between Trump and Biden on policy - this is hardly rocket science to understand). On this highlighted portion, however, I do pray and hope President Trump realizes we can't make things right on our own and that's why we need God's forgiveness for salvation. Repentance. But this quote was nearly a decade ago as well...maybe he has changed since then.

I am choosing a president, not a pastor. It is that simple!
I want someone as president that will represent my views. Not lie to me to get the nomination then turn on a dime afterwards.
Trump despite his flaws at LEAST tried with every fiber of his being at great person cost to actually DO what he said he would do if elected. I will stand by him, because he stood by us.
Spare us the excuses. This March 31 is Easter and Joe Scum Biden did this right now, not years hence. His purpose was to provoke Christians into saying things against the Democrats’ new religion, Trannyism, to stir up division and solidify support from his base.
