The ducks reminded me of way back.
Hubby and I lived on a country lane, rented apartment over a garage, very happy there.
People who owned the house had a small pond in the back, down the hill.
They said we could get a couple of ducks, we did, Donald and Daisy. They used to greet me when I came home from work or walked down the lane.
Hubby got drafted, then going to Vietnam.
Had to move, what about the ducks.
Put them in a box and drove quite a way to a cemetery that had a huge pond that said I could take them there.
All the way there they kept quaking at me, bobbing up and down.
With tears, I got to destination, said goodbye and they joined other ducks and were quaking happily ever after.
Not me.

Lolo looks like that school teacher up here in Canada has a couple of relatives in America! They’re not difficult to spot - they’re pretty up front about who they are! There’s always a couple of things that stand out about them lololo. One thing they always seem to be is cold! lololo Oh, I could do this all day, but I’ll stop.

Funny you should mention him. I have seen as of late on his X account that he’s been “boldly” speaking out about how wrong it is to allow men into women’s sports. People are responding to him like he’s some kind of hero. My response was not that.....I pointed out to Bruce that he was at the cutting edge of ushering in this diabolical abuse of children, and pardon me for not falling at his feet to praise him for his stance. He ushered in this garbage, and now wants to assuage his conscience.....I don’t think so.
Sickening is the right word.
