A group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators rallied at the San Francisco waterfront where the USNS Harvey Milk was docked Friday, with some protestors chaining themselves to the gangway of the ship.
The group gathered to protest the Friday morning ceremony celebrating the ship and its namesake at Pier 30/32 attended by U.S. House Emerita Nancy Pelosi and San Francisco Mayor London Breed, along with other local and military officials. The Arab Resource and Organizing Center was one of the groups that set up the protest and claimed that the ship was bound for Gaza to support Israel's military effort.
The group stood in the rain outside the fence set up along the perimeter when some protesters scaled the fence and made their way to the ship.
A KPIX photographer said some of the protesters who breached security and got to the ship chained themselves to the gangway. SFPD and military security responded to the demonstrators. Video from the scene appeared to show several of the demonstrators being taken into custody.
San Francisco police confirmed it was monitoring the protest at around 11:30 a.m. when officers "observed crimes being committed." Police have not confirmed any arrests in the incident, but said they were continuing to monitor the incident for potential civil disobedience.
Authorities appeared to use bolt cutters to remove the chains the protesters used to fasten their bodies to the gangway. Police loaded those demonstrators into a van and the remaining group eventually dispersed.
In an update Friday evening, San Francisco police said that 10 adult females and four adult males were arrested. The suspects were cited and released for the charge of trespassing, while five suspects had an additional charge of resisting arrest.
Police also said that an officer at the scene along with three others suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
Get out the popcorn.
How about a video of the “Harvey Milk Protest”...

Terrorist sympathizers sure are being given a long leash these days.
So in 2020 we had BLM and Antifa causing domestic terror right before the election. In 2024 we have Anti-Israelis committing domestic terror conveniently right before the elections. The Dems using the same in their playbook which is pathetic.
There’s something weirdly ironic about this whole situation.
*The dems using the same plays in their playbook.

Cut their limbs off as required.
If they chain themselves by the neck, cut their heads off.
By the waist? Cut ‘em in half with a chainsaw.
Yes, indeed. And if Bull Halsey were alive today, he’d be mighty confused. Why are protesters allowed anywhere near a Navy ship? And who the hell is Harvey Milk?
Milk was Jewish.

.....................................
They celebrated a pervert child molester on Good Friday.
The irony of it!
AGREED!!!!
I thought this an
embarrassment since that
ship’s commission.
Chicago will be a riot for the Dems this summer he he he.
Leave them as they’ve
Chained themselves. Give them a fair warning and then take the shipOut to sea for a nice long voyage
I do not understand how these people even got onto the base, much less the pier or the gangway. Major security breach.
Harvey Milk was the first openly homosexual city commissioner elected to public office in CA. He and the mayor of SF were assassinated by the guy who cast the one dissenting vote against the no discrimination of homosexuals bill in SF.
Do the protestors know that Moslems dont usually celebrate homosexuals ???
Instead they throw them off roofs and poof err poop decks...
Too bad they didn’t chain themselves to a submarine that was leaving port.
