What else are they going to use those cameras for?
= = =
They video and record every car. In case they need to check later when a crime comes up. Supposed to delete after 30 days.

And they have ‘hot’ liscence plates to specifically watch for. These plates can be submitted from any other towns in the system.

It is for our safety and good. Yes, I believe that.

It's not about the crime. It's about the total surveillance state.

They love criminals. It's the law-abiding that they hate.

Installing the cameras does zilch to stop criminals committing crimes. But does let brain-dead demo-commie voters ‘feel’ like they are ‘safer’.

It gets better, from last month...

https://qz.com/flock-ai-license-plate-surveillance-startup-cameras-per-1851294024

“...According to company correspondence reviewed by Forbes, Flock has failed to obtain correct permitting for hundreds of its camera installations. Installing “devices” on state infrastructure without prior DOT approval is a crime in Florida, Illinois, and South Carolina, and the company has also run into issues with Texas and Washington over its lack of permits...”

“… the ability to track vehicles as they drive around the area, and can track them using license plates, car type, color, decals, and bumper stickers.”

In the little town I live in (Central California) there are only four ways to drive in and out. They have these type of camera set up at each entry point. Reading the police report they post on line indicates they catch several stolen cars each month. So they have uses.

I suspect many Freepers think of Oakland as being majority black, but Wiki says otherwise.

In 1990, Oakland was 43.9% black, 32.5% white. In 2022 Oakland was 22% black, 33.4% white. The Hispanic/Latino population has almost doubled during that period, from 13.9% to 27.2%.

Its not for crime. He’s telling you exactly what it’s for. It’s a revenue generator.
