I’m of the firm belief that the RINOs have told Johnson they’ll vote with Democrats to elect a DNC speaker unless he submits to the DNC agenda.
I’d say he should let them do it but it would give them the house and they’d promptly vote to ban Trump.
The third party route is impossible in the US due to size. It has to done within and that is difficult enough

I disagree. If the “tea party” movement, for example, had been for real and state conventions of tea party members were held to nominate their GOP slates, enough of a force could be built to either take over or splinter and then replace the GOP IMO.
It would probably be a decade-long project, however.

Civil conflict is coming, it is unavoidable. The left will try to burn down America if President Trump wins, and our side is not going to take another steal.
You know, I keep lecturing others on FR about doing our best to work together on the Republican side of the aisle & I still believe we would benefit from that mentality. Then....... they continually do stuff like this & this is the kind of stuff making it impossible to be a coalition. They obviously know overwhelmingly how we feel & truly don’t seem to care 🫣😑🙄
Johnson is a total tool.a feckless leader. MCcarthy looks VERY strong by comparison. He certainly has not been up to the role of speaker.
I think if you’re going to vacate the chair you need to declare which alternative who can get the votes you are for...Personally, I think Emmer should be the next Speaker. He’s not MAGA. He’s not known to be a Trump supporter and he wants to pretend that he actually IS with Trump. I think that is the sweet spot. Someone who wants to prove himself. MTG isnt going to get the votes so who else?

If we don’t send help soon, the Russians are mobilizing 150,000 soldiers for an offensive in the summer. The defensive lines will start to collapse for Ukraine.
