On Monday’s broadcast of NBC’s “Today,” President Joe Biden responded to a question on what he would say to people whose money isn’t going as far due to inflation by saying, “we have the best economy in the world. We’ve got to make it better.” And “we’re going to find out that what happened as a consequence of the crisis we had on health is going to have a lasting effect. We’ve just got to get people to move again. We’re ready. I think the country’s ready to come together…I’m truly optimistic.”
Co-host Al Roker asked, “When people are saying, but, Mr. President, I’m feeling — my buck isn’t going as far, what do you say to those folks about the economy and what’s going on?”
Biden responded, “I say we have the best economy in the world. We’ve got to make it better. We really do have the best economy in the world. Jobs are up more than they’ve ever been. We’re in a situation where the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years was maintained. We have, people are just — but people — look, I think we’re going to find out that what happened as a consequence of the crisis we had on health is going to have a lasting effect. We’ve just got to get people to move again. We’re ready. I think the country’s ready to come together in a way that — I mean that sincerely. I’m truly optimistic.”

Prices are at least 40% higher then before Biden stole the election.
Home prices have doubled in many areas.
I have not been inside a fast food place since before 2020 and ordered thru the drive thru I think 3 times since.
I downloaded all the fast food apps.
While creating the accounts I was dumbfounded at the prices f the food!!
Minimum $6 for a hamburger and more like $12+ with fries and up and up.
$20+ was not uncommon.
Chicken at KFC is $20+ for 8 pieces plus the sides are extra.
El Pollo Loco charges $12.95 for 3 pieces and 2 small sides. I remember driving away from the drive thru several years ago when the price was $8+
On Monday in Calif. is the day all fast food places now pay their employees $20/hr. as the democrats forced this so prices will go up even more.
BTW Gov Newsom (Dem crook) and the democrats are already doing carve outs where if you are a friend, meaning you donate to their campaigns then you do not have to pay the new wages.
Below is the result. The fast food places are replacing the employees with ordering machines. The person you hear at the drive thru works in another state where the pay is lower or it will be a artificial voice taking the order. Robots will make the burger and french fries etc. You will order thru an app as the prices will be lower for deals they offer only thru the app. The pizza places like Pizza Hut and Round Table Pizza have already fired 1,300 people.
Like grocery stores who have self checkout. YOU become the employee for free....
BTW the grocery stores are cutting back the hours the self checkouts are available like Walmart started doing recently in Porter Ranch (San Fernando valley) where I go. After 4pm you wait in line for a clerk as usual. The reason? Lots and lots of stealing. A person checks out a few items then skips the rest and flashes a receipt as they go out the store.
The same bill that was designed to kill Uber and Lyft to protect the taxi cab industry is in the process of having trucking companies and independent drivers leave California. Minnesota just recently enacted a bill that will result in the same thing.
Big warehouses are springing up in border states to deliver goods to Calif. The shipping will cost more as the goods may arrive at the port but are loaded on railcars and they go out of state then are loaded on Calif bound trucks with new engines by those that can afford to buy new. Those trucks that are 10 years old or older which is the vast majority will deliver in the other states.
I may treat myself once a year vs any weekend or lunchtime during the weekday because of the rise in prices caused by politicians who do not care what it cost us as all their bills get paid by us and the bribes like the taxi industry give the politicians.
I just went to a McDonald’s in Orange County yesterday morning, which was the day the $20 minimum wage went into effect. A single Filet o’ Fish, sandwich only, was $12.59.
They’ll be no “coming together “ Bird Brain. These bastards wanted this and tried to force the sauce on us, meanwhile their lemmings were calling for concentration camps on Twitter.
