You’d be surprised how many don’t.
PS at boarding school we had a study hall each day so no one missed doing their homework One time a week, we wrote a letter home starting in 2nd grade. By the time i was in 7th I could write a 2-3 page letter like an adult. None of this happens at day school, catholic or otherwise.
Like you, I was gifted in reading. At the age of three, I was reading newspapers. By the age of six, I was reading Edgar Allen Poe, Stephen King and even Harlequin Romances.
In third and fourth grades, we had separate reading groups. The groups were arranged by reading ability. I was always in the “gifted” group, which usually consisted of three or four students. The books or , as we called them, “Readers” were at least two grades ahead of the rest of the class.
Unfortunately, my math skills were nonexistent.
Not very many. Most (around 70%) are automatic Dem voters - go with the flow.
Uh Oh.
May that 70% continue to decrease and decrease and decrease. May that 30% continue to increase!
Seattle is a cesspool of evil, not surprised by this at all.

It is the Seattle PARENTS job!
