Fact: The Michigan primary is indeed an open primary. In this type of primary election, voters are not required to register with a specific party. Instead, they can vote for whichever candidate they choose, regardless of their political affiliation. So, whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, or an independent voter, you have the freedom to participate in Michigan’s primary and cast your ballot for the candidate of your preference12.

I’m not sure what date your calendar says, but Michigan was a few weeks ago. These results are from The 4 from last night. Only 1 state had an open primary yesterday. They were all after Haley dropped out. Yet she and the others still took around 20% of the vote.
