President Trump on Friday filed a motion requesting that the judge overseeing the Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’ case be recused because of his daughter’s political work.
The judge’s daughter, Loren Merchan, is a far-left political operative who worked for the Biden-Harris campaign. The media has infantilized 34-year-old Loren Merchan in an effort to attack Trump’s First Amendment-protected speech.
Loren Merchan’s firm, Authentic Campaigns, Inc., has received tens of millions of dollars from Democrats who want to take down Trump.
According to The New York Post, Loren Merchan helped Democrats raise $93 million off of her father’s case.
But it will provide fodder for an eventual appeal.
That is one shipload of TDS there.

And, there should be little doubt that the Trump hating judge will pocket some of those millions someday if he hasn’t already. One thing that should be counted on is a Democrats ambidextrous cash grabbing hands regardless of their position in life. Look at our President.
Actually, I don’t want him to be forced to recuse himself, because that would open the door to Justice Clarence Thomas to be forced to do the same due to his wife’s political leanings.
Good thing this lawfare thing works both ways.
It’s one thing to have political leanings, but Merchant’s situation rises to a financial conflict of interest. I’m not sure whether there was any financial conflict of interest between Thomas and his wife. I’m not certain, but I don’t think there was.
What are the odds all these judges have strong ties to the democrat party?

I know there are corrupt Republicans, but the ‘Rats raise it to an art form.
Different cases in that Thomas’ wife is a pro-life activist who gets no money for being such and doesn’t raise money on campaigns using Thomas’ name.
However, I agree with you that the progressives in DC and NY won’t care one bit about the differences.
Also, though, it is good to do it because of the justification of an appeal that it provides. None in the anti-abortion movement are charged with criminal conduct that they’d have to appeal due to a Thomas pro-life connection.
You have to do this so you can appeal later
You have to make the motion. If you don’t, you have nothing to appeal. This judge may want Trump’s case to go to trial, but there are at least a dozen ways to force delays.
Deposing the judge’s daughter is one way and the judge certainly doesn’t want that. Demanding much more time to review a couple million pages of discovery is another. What’s the rush? /sarcasm
The goal of the defense is to have the charges dropped. Part of that strategy is to do everything possible to get the trial delayed as long as possible. Jackass Smith knows what the is doing and there really isn’t anything he can do about it
