Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. issued a statement on the January 6 prosecutions Friday, saying that while violent rioters deserved to be punished, many prosecutions of non-violent protesters were excessive.
Kennedy’s statement undercuts the Democratic Party’s effort to portray the 2024 election as a “defense of democracy” and a referendum on the so-called “insurrection,” which Democrats blame on former President Donald Trump.
Kennedy’s statement reads as follows:
January 6 is one of the most polarizing topics on the political landscape. I am listening to people of diverse viewpoints on it in order to make sense of the event and what followed. I want to hear every side.

Who hurts more from that admission? Will it pull away Democrats away from Bidon because he’s a safe vote for a Democrat that doesn’t want to admit he was wrong about everything or will he attract Republican votes from those who still wont’ vote Trump?
RFK, Jr’s statement included these thoughtful words:
“I have not examined the evidence in detail, but reasonable people, including Trump opponents, tell me there is little evidence of a true insurrection.
They observe that the protesters carried no weapons, had no plans or ability to seize the reins of government, and that Trump himself had urged them to protest “peacefully.”
Like many reasonable Americans, I am concerned about the possibility that political objectives motivated the vigor of the prosecution of the J6 defendants, their long sentences, and their harsh treatment.
That would fit a disturbing pattern of the weaponization of government agencies — the DoJ, the IRS, the SEC, the FBI, etc. — against political opponents.
One can, as I do, oppose Donald Trump and all he stands for, and still be disturbed by the weaponization of government against him.”
Little evidence of an insurrection because it was an FBI operation.

It’s also so nice that we’re hearing him come out with this stuff over three years later, when he’s running for a higher office. Stunning. Brave.
Also, that NY Biden-appointed judge just pointed out the two-tier justice issue re Hunter & Navarro. They did the same thing, but Hunter’s free and Navarro is in Graybar Hotel. (And Navarro had Executive Privilege while Hunter didn’t.)
The fact not a single person has been charged with insurrection should tip everyone off…..
First, entering the Capitol and rioting were not done at the encouragement of Donald Trump. Trump very directly and plainly told the peaceful protesters to walk down to the Capitol, not to enter it.
Likewise Trump's awareness of the theft of the 2020 election was and is not a delusion, as the movie 2000 Mules showed very convincingly. The election was stolen very intentionally and with much planning and execution by a lot of people.
So Kennedy, though he displays some signs of awareness of reality, he is still a Rat, through and through, who repeats the canonical lies and 'talking points' of the Marxists.
I am glad of his courageous honesty and writing about the Covid virus and the vaccine plots, which are truthful. But here he is reverting to his Rat roots.
I consider him a work in progress. Wish him well in the 2024 election; I hope a lot of people vote for him.

Even a “small” insurrection would entail a lot of weapons and killing and destruction. The only weapons fired were by murderous “police”...
