The right to life is a civil rights issue. It’s exactly like slavery in that regard.
Nothing about the right to life has ever been brought before the USSC in a way that forces the issue and requires a decision about when life becomes protectable.
Should it ever happen I hope it does while a conservative majority sits in judgement.
That’s a fine argument, except the word BORN is clearly stated in the 14th Amendment. This is why I suspect a “national abortion ban” could potentially be overturned in a 9-0 ruling under the current U.S. Supreme Court.
Well ok then. Pass an amendment like we did with the 13th amendment. Otherwise there’s nothing in the Constitution to permit, or to ban it. I mean honestly, let’s have some integrity. What I just said was the primary criticism of Roe v Wade for 50 years. No one is more pro life than me, but I refuse to accept that we should overthrow the left’s refusal to follow the Constitution only to ourselves refuse to do so
