Jim Jones.. He grew up in the same Indiana town, I grew up in.
He was older than I but I remember him. His neighbors took him to the same church I attended. A small church. He was a teenager and he would sit on the front row, with his Bible. He was a loner.. Quiet..
Some years later, he came to town with 2 large buses, a lot of people, and caused a stir.. Who was it and why. 2 greyhound type buses parked on main street, was noticeable. He has stopped to see someone, on his way back to Indianapolis.
With all that is going on in this country, that is not right.. All the strange normal that isn’t normal.. All the corruption in the government.. Trust is hard to find.
At the end of every day, God is still on the throne. Every morning the sun comes up on time.. God made the earth and time.. Thousands of years later..eons later.. The sun still comes up on time.
Trusting... The One who is still there on the throne.
A friend of mine went to his ‘church’ for a while.
Thankfully she did NOT go to California with the rest of his converts.
