Hamas has told international mediators it can't identify 40 living hostages who meet the requirements for a U.S.-backed ceasefire deal as American and Israeli officials increasingly fear most of the people still held captive may already be dead.
The proposal for a six-week ceasefire consisted of Hamas releasing 40 hostages, including women, children, elderly men and those in poor health, in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. The terrorist group, however, told international mediators that it does not have 40 living hostages who meet that criteria.
Officials familiar with negotiations told The Wall Street Journal this week that estimates from the U.S. indicate most of the hostages are already dead. However, the U.S. has limited information on the hostages and is dependent on Israeli intelligence.
Both Israeli and American officials estimate that the number of deceased hostages is higher than they previously believed.
U.S. officials told the outlet that the hostages may have died due to health reasons, including injuries they sustained when they were taken captive. Some U.S. officials said that a few hostages could have been killed during Israeli strikes on Gaza.
A Hamas official has reportedly said the terror group won't commit to releasing 40 living hostages but could commit to 40 hostages total, which would suggest some would be dead. The Israeli military and the prime minister's office wouldn't state publicly their estimates on how many hostages remain alive.

Daily Mail has a second video of the girl they kidnapped and put on the motorcycle. On the second video they put a black hood over her head. The bastards that are on the bike are not in uniform so I suspect they are civilians that took advantage of the attack to grab up some young girls. They were jeering and making comments but there was no translation.

Apparently the terrorists are not willing to exchange healthy men who are being held captive.
Time to ramp-up the pressure.
The Hamas evil of taking noncombatants hostage will end with tragic mystery. Some who survive will tell of knowing someone was still alive but probably taken to another Arab country, then no more information.
And the horrible ending of parents and relatives reunited with hostages but not some of them who remain in tears over being left out of the day of relief.
Most of us knew families after US forces left Vietnam who never had closure about their loved ones who were still Missing in Action.
Israel has known this to be the case for a while. They have a whole team of analysts whose job is to track the hostages and sift through evidence to determine who is still alive.
It is a mystery why the government refuses to confirm this fact. Perhaps they think there is justification to continue the war so long as there are living hostages to free?
Bibi made a grave mistake in setting out war objectives that cannot be achieved. Unlike the USA he cannot engage in a forever war (putting aside the fact that israel has been at war since 1948). Mistake #2 was not going full force into Rafah at the start and squeezeing Hamas into the center.

That girl on motorcycle hasn’t been seen since Jan according to Daily Mail.
Perhaps all the remaining hostages are dead from the injuries of rape and torture when abducted and after and then the subsequent indifference, lack of medical care, food and water afterwards.

Probably that’s exactly the way they died; Hamas can’t hand over what they don’t have unless it’s the bodies then Israel will really go full onslaught to totally wipe them out.
