It’s a shame Putin does not understand the concept of fair and reasonable negotiations, or where Russia’s borders end and those of other people begin.
I want both sides to lose—and without US dollars being used.
The best option, when you have no trained military or much military spending, and you have the EU insisting on not having a decent military, is to negotiate a peace treaty, giving up some disputed land.
This is far better than the alternative of losing your country or all your men, in a senseless, unwinnable war.
An interesting idea. Here is another. Allow long term leases of surplus govt buildings, likr 30 or 50 years, to permit building of low cost condo rentals in places where affordable housing for teachers, police, and people with even lower incomes cannot find decent affordable housing. Also provide tax breaks for the builders if they meet certain requirements.
Calling it a shame is a tragic understatement.
