The Russians have started using the term "Unconditional Surrender" -- clearly that is one alternative that is realistically on the table at this point.
There might be a small window of time where a less drastic negotiated settlement could be made, but it's closing fast.
As Russia's military prospects improve, the incentive to negotiate with Zelensky goes down.
