Drug shortages have reached an all-time high in the United States, pharmacists are warning.
During the first three months of 2024, there were 323 active medication shortages, according to American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and Utah Drug Information Service. Previously, the record high was 320 shortages in 2014.
This ASHP started tracking shortages in 2001.
"All drug classes are vulnerable to shortage," Dr. Paul Abramowitz, CEO of ASHP, said in a statement. "Some of the most worrying shortages involve generic sterile injectable medications, including cancer chemotherapy drugs and emergency medications stored in hospital crash carts and procedural areas."
Last year, the American Cancer Society issued a warning that chemotherapy drugs had returned to the list of the top-five

Two big pharma producing countries... China and Lebanon.
My statins I picked up at the pharmacy now made by an Indian pharma company.
As I noted recently the vitamin bottles at Walmart are saying made in four different countries China and three others (Albania, Bulgaria and Ukraine).
The economic warfare with China is coming home.
No better time than now to change diet, exercise, and strive to live drug-free.
One of the antivirals was manufactured in China. The other in Italy. NEITHER In the USA!
The doc sent the scrip to Walgreens and they said "Out of stock." Fortunately the other Walgreens in town had it in stock and I got it right away because it's important to start it within three to five days of onset of symptoms.
I'm over it and today is the first day I feel 100% (it's been 11 days). Got a lot of yard work done today and setting up the summer patio furniture.

Exactly. And take vitamins.
I take one prescription drug and 10 nutritional supplements daily. My brilliant MD actually prescribes all of them, so they are all deductible medical expenses.
Actually, I’ve been taking most of those supplements for forty years, long before I met this doctor. My immune system rocks, and doc didn’t suggest covid shots for me.
All part of the plan.
We need more wars and more boycotts to help with commerce.
Many of the drug shortages are for pain killing drugs used citing emergency medications stored in hospital crash carts and procedural areas. We have a sourse right over the southern border that could possibly supply the US with many of the drugs needed. They are run by people we already have identified on post office bulletin boards. They’re called cartel. And they have been receiving many of their drugs from China and south American for years, same place we get ours.

Why don’t you take Ivermectin? I have heard the Pax does not really help.
I bought Ivermectin in 2020 and it’s still sitting there unused. Believe it or not, I keep forgetting to take it. I need to make a mental note of it for the next time this happens.
I work part-time for an answering service and you should hear the calls from angry patients upset that they can't get their medication refilled because the doctor didn't call it in or the office doesn't fill medications after-hours.
Take it weekly (with food)...and could prevent sickness..take immediately upon feeling sick, daily...lots of posts here about dosing
Yeah, but China is such a great ally. /s
If I recall correctly, President Trump negotiate a drug deal with India?
Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are discussing an agreement that would lock the world’s second-most-populous country into exclusive prescription drug arrangements.

I always wanted to do something to help kids with ADHD but I keep getting distracted and losing interest in the whole idea.
