Well, those “stupid sanctions” as you say were put in place by both the Obama and Trump administrations, after Russian illegally invaded Crimea in 2014.
Before that crazy invasion there were zero US sanctions on Russia.
Russia attacks, invades, levels cities and town to the ground, but Russia should not be met with at least sanctions in response? Is that what you mean?
Seems like that is what weapons are supposed to do.
Not by us. It's not our business. I'm all for SELLING things like weapons to the good guys (i.e. Israel). I'm also for sanctions/tariffs/import restrictions that WE put in place onto goods coming from countries that do the same to us (i.e. Trump trying to leverage other countries to drop their import restrictions on us).
But it's a bunch of mess when we get too much into other countries' wars and squabbles. We're not the world's policeman.
