Wesley Clark: U.S. Is Letting Iran Export Oil to Keep Prices Down, Whether Israel Finishes Hamas in Rafah is ‘Real’ Issue
Breitbart ^ | 04/17/2024 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 04/17/2024 5:43:05 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Tuesday’s “CNN Newsroom,” CNN Military Analyst and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Gen. Wesley Clark (Ret.) stated that American sanctions against Iran won’t be effective in part because “the United States really doesn’t want to seal off Iran’s oil exports” to keep oil prices from spiking, and the real issue is “will the United States really extend its nuclear guarantee to Israel, and will that be sufficient to keep Iran back from this ring of fire? That’s the question. And then, can Israel finish off Hamas in Rafah?”

Host John Vause asked, “The U.S. already has an arms ban on Iran, as well as an almost total economic embargo, companies doing business with Iran face sanctions, all imports from Iran are banned, there are heavy sanctions on Iranian financial institutions, almost a total ban on selling aircraft or reair parts to Iran. It’s already one of the most heavily-sanctioned countries in the world. But yet, it’s still firing missiles and drones and supplying arms to proxies like the Houthis. So, what will these extra sanctions actually achieve at this point?”

The best way for oil prices to go down is if the Dims quit their war against domestic drilling.

I struggle with the idea that I agree with the guy who could have single handedly started a potential world war in the early 1990s.

With that in mind, thanks again to Lt General Sir Michael Jackson for prevailing that day.

Israel will take 10-12 years to “defeat” Hamas if they do it correctly.

1. Kill every single supporter, terrorist, suppliers and those that paid.

2. Get the mothers of the children (especially) male children to realize that they will all DIE if they support Hamas.

3. Educate the children and infect them with the virus of freedom, capitalism, and global participation (not a perpetual victim).

4. Terrorize every living Palestinian to be more afraid of the IDF, Mossad and Jews than of Hamas....including the wholesale death of every man, woman and child in an area.

The calculus is if you kill 10,000 or 20,000 now or drag it out and kill 50-60,000 over 10-20 years and then add that Israel will suffer additional 1000-2000 casualties every year for 10-20 years with those decades spent continually looking over your shoulder for the next terrorist attack....

Either way, civilians and others will die... so either Israel is an active participant or a passive punching bag, their choice.

That’s the only way to defeat an insurgency but very few people have the spine or the stomach to watch the sausage made. They somehow believer the myth of a bloodless “political” maneuver or “targeted” killings..... but insurgencies aren’t just people... it is the “idea” that must be destroyed...or it will simply metastasize and infect or spread another generation of Palestinians.

We had sanctions against Iran, but Dimbo Robinette released $6 billion back to them. Of course, he assured that there would be 'strict oversight' to prevent the funds from being used for anything other than humanitarian purposes.

Sanctions...(spit)

The price of gasoline will continue to rise as long as goofy USAF Hamass cheerleaders continue to use fossil fuels to have weenie roasts outside the Israel Embassy in the District of Corruption. That jerk sent a lot of black fossil fuel pollution into the atmosphere during his weenie roast. I’ll bet little Gretel Thunderbutt was PO’d that she wasn’t invited.

Iran can export Oil, as much as it wants, and Alberta can’t.

The interviewer needs to catch up. We had an effective oil embargo on Iran, cut their oil exports to 100,000 barrels a day, mostly to China. Biden lifted the oil ban and Iran’s exports now are over a million barrels a day, plus Biden unfroze tens of billions of sequestered dollars around the world. Under Trump Iran was flat on its back economically, and couldn’t have afforded to finance Houthi’s, Hamas attack, and its own drone and missile attack on Israel. Maybe Iranian oil flooding the world market did hold down the price somewhat, but was that worth the price Israel is paying, and the world is paying for broad instability in the MidEast? The price of oil was lower under Trump, when Iran was off the market. Clark is talking through his hat methinks.

Iran would stop pumping oil, lose money for terror, gas prices would rise, no civilians would be killed and Biden would lose if:

ISRAEL: BOMB KHARG ISLAND!

For quite some time, I made the point that Israel’s war aims are too small. Defeating ham ass and returning the (now dead) hostages is small thinking.

Israel’s proper objective should be:

Defeat the will of the population to ever wage war again!

This is why Democrats cannot be trusted with national security ... Biden’s policy is geared toward his reelection ... not the security of the country.

Spot on Gen. Wesley Clark is giving a Biden BS cover up story all anyone has to do is look at the oil prices when Trump was president.
We were the largest exporters in the world.

To me, it would benefit them, and the US if they bombed Iranian oil fields or processing locations. Yes oil goes up; Biden more than likely loses unless MAJOR election fraud, Israel then deals with new Israeli supportive U.S. PDJT, Israel continues irradication of deadly terrorists!
Wins all around; except higher gas prices/economic turmoil.
Trump wins, drill baby drill, & fuel related problems reverse.
Plausible?
